الخط وأسلوب الزخرفة والتجليد يشيرون إلى أن المجلد جزءٌ من مجموعةٍ تتألف أيضًا من المخطوطتين IO Islamic 923 و IO Islamic 924 وIO Islamic 1249 وجميعها نُسخت في ١١٩٨/١٧٨٤ ربما لمالكها الأصلي وارين هاستينجز، الحاكم العام للبنغال في الفترة من ١٧٧٢ إلى ١٧٨٥. توجد ملاحظة ترتيب في نهاية النص الأول (ص. ٧ظ) بتاريخ ١٤ شوال ١١٩٨ / ٣١ أغسطس ١٧٨٤.ويوجد فهرس محتويات باللغة الفارسية في ص. ١و.يُظهر جدول بالتواريخ مرفق داخل الغلاف الخلفي (اللوح اليسار) أن المخطوطة استعيرت لمدة شهرين في سنة ١٩٠٨ من مكتبة مكتب الهند من قبل إيلهارد فيدمان (توفي ١٩٢٨)، وهو أستاذ الفيزياء في جامعة إرلنجن نورنبيرغ. وفي ١٩١١-١٩١٢ نشر فيدمان ترجمة ألمانية للمادة ٧ في هذه المخطوطة ('Die Schrift über den Qarasṭūn' في

Collection of treatises, copied in the same hand, on mathematical sciences. Topics include calculating heights, distances, areas, solving geometrical and algebraic problems, music theory. At the back of the work are three additions: 1) pages of notes, probably by the copyist, about some of the works in the collection (f. 129r-137v), 2) an added commentary on Apollonius' Conics copied in a different hand (f. 139v-143r), 3) further notes. One folio in Persian (f. 71) is misplaced and should follow folio 78.

The third appears to be an autograph of Sharḥ mukhtaṣar al-Tuffāḥah fī ʻilm al-misāḥah by ʻAbd al-Laṭīf ibn Aḥmad al-Dimashqī.
